After suffering through a number of rather cold mornings, we finally got the wood stove installed on the first floor of the staff house (the same stove that survived the fire in the main building).  The OMF Tohoku sector leaders, Martin and Ruth Ghent, along with SERVE Asia worker, Johnny, gave us a hand moving the 200kg stove, polishing it up, putting in a new window, redoing the walls and ceilings, and laying the bricks and tiles.  We had professionals come in and do the chimney so as to assure everyone that there won't be a repeat of the chimney fire of January 2014.  We are now ready to face our first winter in the foothills of the Hakkoda mountains!
