Fire, Closure, and Plans for Restoration

On January 7, 2014, during Winter Living English Camp, a fire broke out in the chapel in the main building of the Aomori Christian Center (ACC).  Thankfully, no one was hurt and campers and staff were able to put out the fire before the fire department arrived.  However, it was subsequently determined that the building did not meet the current fire code and that the Center would have to be closed until this issue was fully addressed.  In June of that same year we were designated to ACC in order to work together with the board of directors to oversee the process of reopening the Center for ministry.  We will begin our new role as ACC Director in April 2015.
